new site who dis? •⩊•

AND NOW... AFTER WHAT FELT LIKE A MILLENIA... I HAVE "FINISHED" THE WEBSITE.

It's been quite the journey too! When I first decided to learn HTML & CSS I was, regretably, under the impression that it would be easy! It was not. I fucking hated every second of it.

Dont get me wrong, creatures4features.neocities.org has quickly become one of my favorite projects. I love this website the same way a scientist loves his freaky looking homunculus he haphazardly crafted in his basement. I find this entire site revolting, and I'm proud of myself for creating such a revolting evil creature.

..Mainly because I thought I'd never be able to.

Like seriously I had no clue it would be so frustrating I wanted to shatter my monitor and throw myself off of a bridge most days how do people do this stuff auaauuhgh.

My very first attempt at making this site was during summer break. I was bored so I thought that making a website on Neocities would be a good way to kill time. So, I used a template, completely half-assed it, and then abandoned the whole thing for 5-6 months. (I think the og "site" is on the wayback machine?) (idk how it got there)

Despite immediately giving up, the thought of making a website remained in my mind. It gnawed at me until one day, I turned on my computer, logged back into neocities, and got back to work.

I decided I would do it the "correct way" this time, and make it all from scratch. This was a mistake. Thank god for W3Schools they really saved my sorry ass!

It was a pretty miserable experience, but it was better than rotting in my room doing nothing all summer break.

but hey! I've got a website now! How many people make websites for fun these days? not many I'd bet! (lol)

This whole endeavour was a very interesting learning experience. I tried something new and I enjoyed it. I have a "fun" new hobby now. Creatures4features.neocities.org is a real, tangible website that exists! Now that the hard part is over (sorta), I have a site that I will continue updating for the rest of my life.

I decided to make the blog as bare bones as possible (while still looking good), barely any CSS, just words on a page. I think it turned out okay!

So, all's well that ends well!
