1. Please introduce yourself.: Hello! my name is Lucas, I'm an artist with zero defining traits. i like to draw c:
2. How long have you been making websites?: Since about June 2025
3. And what got you into the hobby?: I got very very bored during summer break and saw a video about neocities. (i think it was by Luvstarkei?)
4. What kind of website are you most interested in?: Probably websites with a lot of things going on. The more there is for me to look at & interact with the more I love it.
5. What's your workflow? Do you plan your websites out thoroughly or do you come up with the design as you go along?: I usually look at websites I like for inspiration and then just come up with everything as i go.
6. Please link to your biggest inspirations.: sweet-pea, philia995, and toribytez (their websites are so so cool fr)
7. What's your favourite part about making websites?: The finished product.
8. And the thing you struggle with the most?: Everything else.
9. Do you keep the same layout on all of your pages? Or do you use different ones?: I try to keep a level of variety on every page I make. but i also want everything to feel cohesive, yk?
10. How confident are you with CSS?: I'm pretty confident, but i have a feeling i'm doing everything wrong as well.
11. Do you know how to correctly use <dl>?: YES YES I LOVE <dl> SO MUCH ITS MY FAVOOOORITE!!!
12. What is your favourite HTML element?: Iframes even though I barely use them lol. they're so fascinating to me
13. If you're making a new web page from scratch, what is the first thing you do?: Make a div with a 2px solid black border
14. Do you know JavaScript?: I know some javascript but I'm still learning,,
15. How about PHP?: Nawww (maybe one day though)
16. Does your website have a theme that you stick to?: Yep, dark grey ++ lace everywhere
17. Are you more focused on content or design?: I prefer focusing content. theres no point in design if theres no content to go with it.
18. Do you own a domain name? If not, would you ever want to?: Not yet, but i really really really want to get one!
19. What do you think of nostalgia-focused or "retro" websites?: They're cool. not a big fan of "nostalgia-bait" myself but they're cool.
20. Is your HTML valid? Do you even check?: I try my best but in the end i doont reeaally caare
21. What are your opinion on buttons and banners?: I <3 them!! so cute!
22. What do you think of button walls in particular?: I like them because i get to see more good interesting cool websites
23. If you started over again, would you make something similar or completely different?: Most likely something simillar. I am a simple man with simple interests (lace borders)
24. Are you envious of other people's websites?: yes yes yes all of the time i get soooo fucking jealous its insane!! everyone has such cool websites aauugaaughhh T_T

26. Why do you use that one?: It's the first one I found. honestly I dont even really like using it but i dont care to download another one lol
27. Do you host your image files on your web server, or on another host?: I host all files on my web server i dont like relying on other things
28. This might not be relevant to you, but what's your opinion on the Neocities vs. Nekoweb debate?: i dont car v_v
29. How much server space would you estimate your main website takes up?: i have no clue and i am not going to check
30. Do you keep local backups of your files?: yes
31. Do you prefer simple or highly visual websites?: Highly visual i need to be stimulated like a toddler pls
32. Do you stick to certain colours? Do you do that on purpose, or is it your subconscious?: No matter how hard i try it always ends up being grey??
33. Have you ever thought about quitting? Why?: taking breaks yes quitting nooo.. im having too much fun for that
34. Do you have many webmaster friends, or is it a solitary hobby?: I am scared of talking to people!

35. Do people in your real life know about your website?: they know i have a website but i refuse to let them see it thats too scary!!
36. Do you update your website very often? How often is "very often"?: i update when i can
37. And the overall design, do you change that much? Why or why not?: I dont like to change unless i have to.
38. Is your website more you-focused, hobby-focused, or outside world-focused?: me-focused! its my website after all!

40. If not, would you like to? And if you're comfortable answering, what do you do for work?: kinda but i feel like web design as a profession is gonna get killed off by lazy fucks using ai so it doesnt matter. also i dont have a job lmao
41. Do you communicate with people by email very much?: i dont communicate
42. Some people reject social media and use websites as a replacement. Do you keep social media outside of your website?: ye s yes i love social media i like to doomscroll for 82 hours straight and anyone who says you shouldnt is wrrroooonnnnggggg
43. How about instant messengers? Do you use a mainstream one like Discord or Telegram? Or something like Matrix? Do you avoid them?: I do not have any friends to instant message with
44. Do you listen to music while you work on websites? If so, what kinds of artists?: i usually flip flop between listening to video essays and listening to random shit on soundcloud. i really like chemlab
45. Do you keep everything you make on one website, or do you have more than one?: I only have one website but i've considered making a second, more colorful, website.
46. On a similar note, do you keep to one topic on your site, or many?: i do what i want (fun)
47. Do you present your real self, or at least try? Or do you construct a persona on purpose?: i prefer to keep a persona but the moment i start typing i spontaneously turn into the whiny bitch i truly am. sad sad times indeed

49. Are you happy with the way HTML and CSS currently work?: YES
50. What are practices that you think people should avoid?: idk
51. What about under-utilised practices, or things you think people should do more?: idk :/
52. Do you use a lot of semantic HTML? Or are you guilty of generic structure?: i looove semantic html! it helps me a lot because i couldnt tell the difference between anything back when i was just using generic structure
53. Do you consider different browsers?: i only consider the browser i use #lazy
54. Speaking of, what's your preferred browser? Convince your readers why they should use it.: FIREFOX FIREFOX IS SUPERIOR IN EVERY SINGLE WAAAAY
55. And what OS are you on?: windows 10 but im probs gonna switch to linux soon
56. Do you have a strong opinion on that, or do you just happen to use it?: i do not have a strong opinion i just do not like change tbh
57. Are your websites mobile-friendly?: yes yes we love mobile users here
58. What are your thoughts on autoplay?: kind of annoying but i dont car
59. What are your thoughts on webrings? Are you in any?: I think webrings are super cool and I found some really nice websites via webrings. as of writing this i am in 4 webrings!
60. Do you have any web shrines? What do you like to see in that sort of page?: I only have 1 right now dedicated to Ichi the Witch (peak fiction btw.) I really like seeing shrines that include the creators thoughts and what they like about whatever they're making the shrine for. i wanna know how much you like your favorite thing so i can like it too, yk?
61. Are your websites "cliche", in your opinion?: probably. i dont think i have any 'real' identity other than being grey all of the time.
62. What is your ideal website? Are you striving for that, or for something else?: Any website that has lots of pages and content. I'm not striving for that though #imtoolazyforthat
63. Are you an artist? Do you draw or design your own assets?: I am an artist that hates drawing. I want to draw most of my assets but then i sit down to do it and i just CANNOT its TOO MUCH
64. What are your favourite resource sites?: fool lovers & petra pixel
65. Is there a habit you just can't get away from no matter how hard you try?: Doing lazy "shortcuts" (they are not shortcuts) all of the time even though i know it would be easier to just do it normally like a normal person
66. What's your biggest advice for a new webmaster?: your first website is gonna look like DOGSHIT and thats okay!
67. Do you keep all your styling in CSS? Or do you hard-code some?: I prefer to do everything in CSS it feels nicer :)
68. What do you think of frameset layouts?: 10/10 love them
69. How about table-based layouts?: 0/10 evil evil evil
70. Do you subscribe to the ideas of "one-column", "two-column" and "three-column" layouts? Do you use any of these?: i just do whatever feels nicer
71. Do you spend longer on the HTML or the CSS?: The CSS definitely,, I get super indecisive about what the CSS should look like and end up spending AGES on it lol
72. Have you ever made a page with no CSS? It's useful for your thoughts.: No never never it hurts my eyes i am too much of a sensitive soul for that
73. Do you ever find yourself making layouts with nothing to put on them? Or do you only make layouts when the need arises?: I cant make a layout with nothing to put on them it scares me :(
74. Would you consider yourself a beginner? Or advanced? Somewhere in the middle?: I think i'm intermediate at this point!
75. Do you have a habit of looking at the source code of websites you visit?: Absolutely. whos your housekeeper? what you keep in your house??
76. How did YOU learn how to make websites?: W3schools (the holy grail)
77. Do you ever force elements to do things they're not supposed to?: If i get frustrated enough yes
78. Thoughts on floating elements?: They scare me. :(
79. When you're sizing stuff, what do you use first? Do you use px, em, %, or something else?: px all day px all night (i should probably stop its a bad habit)
80. Do you have a favourite font?: Play (im using it right now lmao)
81. Would you run a website with another person? How would that work?: No no no absolutely not I am not a 'teamwork' person. i would shitmyself!!
82. Do you surf the Web to find new personal websites very often?: Atleast once a week.
83. Do you bookmark other people's websites? How would you feel knowing someone else bookmarked yours?: I keep a big folder full of bookmarked websites and I would feel very very honored if someone had me bookmarked!
84. What do you want people to be most impressed with when they see your website?: My amazing personality... ..or my art.
85. Are you interested in technology outside of websites? Do you collect?: Technology in general fascinates me but i do not collect or do anything im broke as fuck!!!!
86. How often and for how long are you online?: I am online from the moment I wake up to the second i go to sleep. I have nothing else to do. T_T
87. When it comes to your website, who is your target audience?: Anyone who likes my art c:
88. Have you ever been interested in XHTML?: norp
89. Do you program in general? Have you ever written a program for use with or on your website, not counting simple JavaScript?: I regularly try and fail to write programs. maybe one day i will make something website-worthy.. there was one time i tried to make my art gallery work purely with javascript but i am too stupid!
90. Speaking of programs that help you make websites, what do you think of static site generators (SSGs)? Have you ever used one?: I think they're useful but i would never use one, its just not for me.
91. Do you keep a hitcounter? Why or why not?: I kinda want one but i see no point. I'd probably get super neurotic about the amount of hits i get per month and shit
92. Do you frequent forums? Which ones?: Forums intimidate me. but i think they are very cool im just cowardly
93. Do you write your page content directly into the editor, or do you prepare it elsewhere, like a text document or a Word document?: I write it all in the editor :0 I didnt really think of writing it anywhere else?!
94. Do you think you appear cool to others? A more accurate answer now: do other people ever say you're cool?: I believe myself to be a bumbling fool and others can sense my lack of aura from miles away. nobody thinks im cool!!! (sob) (sob)
95. Are you embarrassed of your old work? Have you ever deleted everything out of shame?: Very embarassed that shit is AWFUL!! i nuked most of my older stuff when i was 14. and im not planning on including any of my older art, for i feel a great shiver down my spine whenever i look at it! also i lost most of it
96. Would you close down your website if you couldn't update it, or would you leave an archive?: I will never close this site. its my final resting place
97. Do you reveal a lot about yourself on your website? Or are you more secretive?: I try to be secretive but also i really like talking about myself so I imagine thats gonna be short lived.
98. Are you willing to reveal who your best online friend is, and/or if they have a website?: i haveth no 'online best friend.' i do have a real life best friend though! she so cool!!
99. And do you optimise the images on your website?: I try to. i want my website to be accessible to people with even the shittiest of internets.
