Ichi the witch is a Japanese manga series written by Osamu Nishi and illustrated by Shiro Usazaki. It began
serialization in Shueisha's Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine in September 2024.
The series takes place in a world where
monsters composed of magic called Majiks exist. Specialized hunters called Witches can obtain magic from them after
performing a trial, but it is thought only women can become witches. A young boy called Ichi, who lives in Druid Mountain
and hunts for a living, defeats a Majik, and ends up being the first male witch.

How I Found It
About a year (or two?) ago, I found Ichi the Witch through a twitter reccomendation. I was looking for new manga to read and
decided to give it a chance (mainly because i thought Desscaras was hot. Dont judge me ok?)
I fell in love almost immediately. Actually, fell in love is not intense enough to describe how I felt reading through
this series for the first time. I was absolutely transfixed. Enamored. Mesmerized. Beyond captivated by the nearly everything about this manga.
I spent the whole night reading it on my shitty phone using an even shittier illegal website riddled with ads. Every single
chapter I'd tell myself, just one more and then I'll go to bed.. I read through the whole thing in one sitting.
Ichi the witch is BY FAR my favorite manga as of right now. Nothing else beats it in my eyes, ITS JUST SO AMAZING!!!
Currently hoping and praying that it gets an anime soon. I'm not even big on anime i just need it to happen so more people
get interested in this peak manga.
Why I love it
Ichi the witch is peak fiction. It has it all. Found Family. Beautiful Ladies. Politics. Interesting Magic System. What more
could you ever want from a manga?
Jokes aside. It's great.
I find the entire premise of the story very very interesting, a society entirely dominated by women, where theres a bunch
of cool magic political bullshit. Thats right up my alley, i LOOVE shit like that.
What appeals to me the most is the dynamics between the main characters! Gokuraku and Ichis weird brotherly "LETS GO
KILL A BUNCH OF MAJIKS" dynamic appeals to me greatly.
Not even to mention how Desscaras adopted Ichi like. almost instantly. THATS SO CUTE!!! Just in general, the way team
desscaras defends and supports eachother is so so cutie i looove dynamics like that.
If you're on the search for new manga to read, YOU SHOULD TRY ICHI THE WITCH! YOU DEF WONT REGRET IT! （｡>‿‿<｡ ）

this whole section is just me gushing over team desscaras. i love these guys so much!!!!
ICHI
The main character of Ichi the witch. Ichi is the first boy to EVER become a witch in the history of ever. crazy, i know.
He's quite the interesting guy as well, his parents abandoned him in the mountains and he killed a WOLF at the age of SIX.
He grew up to become an incredibly skilled hunter. He's a very feral little man. he does no wrong! Look at him!!
he's just a baby!!!
DESSCARAS

POWERFUL WITCH IN THE WORLD...DESSCARAS!!! She's the best and she knows it. Incredibly confident and determined. (AND BLACK)
Her aura is unmatched. Like she beats the everloving shit out of every single one of her opponents!! I love her so much.
Perfect in every way, truely. Like she lost her entire family and her village, aquired her first majik when she was
practically a BABY, and currently has like 30+ majiks in her possession, HOW COOL IS THAT!?
KUMUGI HARVEST
Aaabsolute cutie patootie!! She starts out very shy and awkward but over time she's become more
confident! (just like me fr) She doesnt appear to have aquired any majiks yet, i will cheer when she does, she deserves her moment i need
a whole arc dedicated to her. I love her she is like my fictional daughter.. if anything happens to her i will RIOT!!
GOKURAKU KAGAMI
700 levels of batshit insane. He Surgically Replaced most of his limbs with robotic parts and likes punching shit.
He got placed on the Mantinel Witches Associations Dangerous Persons List
because he wouldnt stop trying to fight Majiks. They call that nigga 'Gokuraku the Brutalizer'.
AND HES HOT!!!! CANT FORGET THAT PART. Not even to mention how devoted and caring he is to the people he cares about.
